State Troopers from the Waycross Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated eight traffic crashes during the month of January in Charlton County. Sergeant First Class T.E. Thrift #329 said the traffic crashes resulted in two injuries and no traffic deaths.
SFC T.E. Thrift #329 said troopers from Post 22 also issued 53 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes four arrests for driving under the influence, 25 citations for speeding, two seat belt violations, and no child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 97 warnings.
